We lost power, water, internet, and cell service during Helene. That was the 27th of last month, I think? Cell came back first, in about a week after. Power was just last week, and internet was yesterday. I'm very behind on a lot of work. I'm very lucky too, because many people are dead or have lost everything. We had no warning--no one knew to evacuate. Work actually tried to fucking open before the power went.

We're doing fine now but it's eerie thinking that if I'd simply chosen an apartment in another part of town, I could be dead too.

I was browsing some HTML tools and learned the details/summary function, which reminded me how much I liked candlelitsmiles' microblog page when I stumbled across their site weeks ago. Wanted to see if I could make something similarly lightweight without being too derivative...idk if I succeeded?

I've been very tired and working hard so it feels like my highs and lows are further apart than usual. my days have been either very productive or miserably stressed and in bed about it. this year has been unusually social for me, not just post-pandemic but just In General, and while that's good overall it's also been exhausting.
